Our first litter of Weimaraners in twelve years, Achouffe proudly introduces River, our long awaited baby from Lexi, Wipfel Vernisse via Achouffe ShCM.  She is already proving to be a bright little girl, mischievous like all puppies but is quick to learn and shows a lot of promise, in fact just about everything we could have wished for.

Qualifying for Crufts at her very first Championship Show, puppy River will be denied exhibition at this prestigious event because she has been legally docked for her original intention and working purposes.  Due to the changes in legislation the UK Kennel Club ruling for entry of docked dogs at some Championship Shows including Crufts introduced in 2007 means that she cannot attend. River has however already proven to  be totally ‘fit for function and fit for life’ which is what the Kennel Club campaigns for and we feel she is in effect, ‘Docked and Denied’.

River also passed her Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Certificate at 14 months old.

Judge James Kelly: Really like this puppy, movement very true, lovely head into well laid shoulders & good length of back, looks so promising. BP

Judge Ray McDonald: 12 months, very nice bitch of good shape, pleasing head, good neck, super front assembly, well ribbed back, well angulated muscular rear, free steady mover. 1st Junior & 1st PG

Judge David Bell: 1st JB Lovely balance & topline, good front angulation, sternum, correct finish to croup, wide powerful hindquarters, moved soundly.

Judge Madelene Rainey: 1st JB 15 months old substantial bitch of good colour.  Liked her head and expression, plenty of fore chest and depth of chest.  Well balanced throughout.  Moderate turn of stifle.  Drove off well let down hocks moved very positively covering the ground with ease to win her this class.

Judge Andrew H Brace: 1st YB 18 months, beautifully made, of excellent type and in wonderful nick.  Lovely head, correct angulation, well boned and ribbed, firm backline and a free and powerful mover.  Well deserved RCC and should gain her title.
